AUBURN — The School Committee will get the latest test scores for last year’s 11th-graders when it meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Auburn Hall.
Shelly Mogul, director of the Office of Learning and Teaching, will give results of SAT tests and work at the high school to improve learning.
The School Department reported last fall that in May 2010, 44 percent of 11th-graders scored at proficient levels in reading, compared to the state average of 50 percent; and 47 percent were proficient in math, compared to the state average of 49 percent.
Also on Wednesday’s agenda is a request for the School Committee to approve a higher lunch price, from $1.50 to $1.55 for prekindergarten through grade eight. The change is required by the federal government in its push for schools to provide healthier meals with more fruits and vegetables.
