PORTLAND — How to take advantage of industry secrets to increase the value of your commercial building will be the topic of an upcoming event by the Maine Real Estate and Development Association (MEREDA).
The program will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Clarion Hotel, 1230 Congress St.
This discussion will cover how to identify under-performing properties, understand and quantify current energy costs, budget for implementing improvements,and how to maintain low levels of consumption. Presenters will also discuss how increased cash flow from energy improvements is treated by appraisers and the subsequent impact on property values.
