AUBURN – Community Little Theatre will hold auditions for “Toto” in the musical “The Wiz,” the first show of its 73rd season at 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9.  Nakesha “Kay” Myrick will direct the production.  The show opens on Nov. 2 and runs through Nov.11.

All well-behaved dogs of any size, shape, breed or color are welcome to audition for the supporting role of Toto, Dorothy’s beloved K-9 companion.  Dogs are welcome to prepare a song to sing, although it is not necessary, as Toto does not speak or sing in the show.

The public is welcome to attend the open auditions to be held at CLT, 30 Academy St.  in Auburn.  Donations taken at the door will be divided to support the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and ongoing improvements at the theater.

The winner of seven Tony Awards, this beloved Broadway musical sets Dorothy’s adventures in the Land of Oz to music in a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, gospel, and soul.  The show’s lead and supporting singing and acting roles are all cast.

For more details and information about auditions, visit the CLT website, at LACLT.com, on Facebook® or call 783-0958.
