A major upgrade to expand a Central Maine Power Co.’s substation on Moose Hill Road in Livermore Falls began Tuesday, Town Manager Kristal Flagg told selectmen that evening. The upgrade is expected to bring in more tax dollars. It is part of the company’s $1.4 billion Maine Power Reliability Program that began in September 2010. Construction will be conducted on the southern side of the substation area. A variety of substation electrical equipment will be added to the expanded and improved 2.92 acre site. Site development will continue into the fall and winter and is projected to be completed in 2013.
