Christopher Decker, new principal at Rumford Elementary School, talks with Ann Marie and Michael Richards of Rumford at the school Wednesday evening. The couple have five children in the school. Decker said an open house for parents of prekindergarten children is set for 5 p.m. Thursday. The PTO will host Muffins with Moms and Grandmoms on Sept. 25 and Doughnuts with Dads and Granddads on Sept. 27, both from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
