LOUISVILLE, Ohio — Alice D. Thibodeau, 90, passed away on Aug. 14.

Alice was born in Rumford, July 29, 1922, to the late Charles and Roseanna Desveaux. She worked as an executive secretary at the Diamond Match Co., prior to her marriage to Elphege “Al” Thibodeau, Oct. 11, 1948.

After her children were in school, she worked at the Food Town grocery store. Later she worked at Chandler’s Men’s Clothing Store. Alice was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and sang in the choir for more than 50 years.

She loved the Christmas season and traveling to visit family. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed flowers and jigsaw puzzles. Her family will always remember her love of hot fudge sundaes and good chocolate.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Vincent (Blanche) Thibodeau, Phil (Jenn) Thibodeau and Denise (Dave) Smithberger; sisters, Cecile O’Hearn and Irene Bilodeau; brothers, Phil Desveaux and Ted (Adrienne) Desveaux; grandchildren, Lee (Melissa), Cassandra, Christine, Vincent Jr., Christopher and Allison; and great-granddaughter, Leah.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Alice was predeceased by her sister, Lena Garon; and son, David Thibodeau.
