Coach: Jen Laberge (third year)
Last year’s record: 0-13-1
Returning players: Seniors — Emily Harlow (MF), Olivia Rottari (G), Meghan Lafontaine (B); Juniors — Jaime Boulos (MF), Mikayla Trafford (F), Kelsey Pelton (F); Sophomores — Lauren Kilton (F), Hayden Dahms (F), Sarah Carder (MF)
Key losses: Jasmine Turner, Bethany Ray, Natasha Smith, Katie Hutchinson, Ally Kirby.
Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Bri Jordan (F), Jenny Holmquist (B).
Outlook: The Patriots struggled to generate offense a year ago in the rugged WMC. That should change for two reasons. For starters, forwards Kilton, Trafford, Pelton and Dahms have an additional year under their belts. Then add Jordan, a freshman Laberge believes will be an immediate impact player. Holmquist adds the same youthful skill on the defensive end, and the goalie, Rottari, is a co-captain. G-NG may play in the toughest non-Class A league in the state, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a healthy jump in the win column.
Coach’s comment: “We need to get some wins this year. That’s what it’s all about. We don’t have any easy games.” — Coach Jen Laberge
