Coach: Julie Wescott (second year)

Last year’s record: 12-3-1, lost in Western Class C semifinal

Returning players: Seniors — Bailey Madore (MF/D), Luci Charest (B); Juniors — Hanna Jordan (W), Olivia Harrington (F), Bailey Cutler (MF), Jen Smith (MF), Mariah Breton (D); Sophomores — Ali Bubar (B), Arianna Kahler (F).

Key losses: Angel Strout (F), Lindsey Whitney (F), Devon Brewer (G), Jessica Campbell (MF), Bri Moore (G), Kimber Morse (MF).

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Farrah Craig (F), Nichole Jones (D/MF) Sophomores — Molly Nicholson (F), Michaela Bedell (MF), Stevie Charest (G); Freshman — Cassidy Daly (G).

Outlook: Hopes are high for the Greyhounds after they pushed perennial Western Class C favorite NYA to penalty corners in a 1-0 playoff loss last October. Lisbon welcomes back experience everywhere except in the cage, where Charest and Daly are battling for the job. They’re typical of a young team that still has only two seniors. Wescott has coached most of the players through the ranks since junior high. The Greyhounds should be in the mix with Spruce Mountain and Winthrop among the top teams in the MVC.

Coach’s comment: “We want to go deeper into the playoffs than we did last year and keep going forward.” — Coach Julie Wescott
