Outlook: The Phoenix are in their second year as a combined program and still sting from last year’s near miss of a playoff spot. There’s a strong senior group that has never made the playoffs. So Spruce Mountain is hungry and take that next step this fall.
Coach’s comment: “I am looking forward to seeing this team compete this year. All the upperclassmen have played together for at least one season. Things should be really looking good. If they play to their potential, they should have fun and have a great season. With the core senior group we have, they should be able to taste the playoffs in their last year of soccer. They have put in a lot of effort between summer soccer and preseason and all have set goals to reach.” — Coach Bill Acritelli
