AUBURN — Yvette C. Henault, 85, formerly of Barker Arms, 143 Mill St., died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Odd Fellows & Rebekahs Home of Maine.
She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 11, 1926, daughter of the late Eugene and Simone Boutin Lavoie. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married Aug. 10, 1946, to Laurier A. Henault, who predeceased her May 13, 2001.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in various shoe shops. Yvette was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church and enjoyed bowling in many leagues and playing games and cards with her family. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by a son, Marc Henault and wife, Liana, of Lisbon; a granddaughter, Elisha Morris and husband, Jesse, of Hartford and their two children, Hunter and Addison; a sister, Carmen Gilbert of Lewiston; a brother, Eugene “Pete” Lavoie and wife, Constance, of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Lavoie of Michigan; and nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Richard Lavoie.
The family would like to thank the staff at Odd Fellows for the loving care they gave to Yvette during her stay.
