ROCKLAND — Sadie Royer grabbed key passes from Meagan Dow and Brianna DeGone and fired one into the net with just 16 seconds left in regulation to give Leavitt a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Oceanside Tuesday.

Phoebe Ferriaolo tallied the lone goal for Oceanside (4-1) with 20 seconds remaining in the first half. Royer scored her first goal to tie the contest with 1:16 remaining.Cheryl Fichter set Royer up in fine fashion after a nice pass from Emily Shaw.

Sierra Santamango made seven saves for the Hornets (3-1), while Zoe Billington and Zoey Proctor combined to turn away eight shots in the cage for Oceanside.

Messalonskee 10, Edward Little 0

OAKLAND — Kristy Bernachi netted four goals, while Emily York registered a hat trick as Messalonskee rolled to a 10-0 win over Edward Little in a KVAC field hockey matchup Tuesday.

Kylee Knight chipped in for the Eagles (4-1) with two goals and an assist, while Allison Leighton also tallied to complete the scoring.

Abby Roberts needed only two saves to record the shutout, while Red Eddies (1-4) keeper Amanda Williams turned aside 17 shots.

Girls’ soccer

Mt. Blue 9, Skowhegan 1

SKOWHEGAN, Makenzie Thompson, Miranda Nicely and Mackenzie Conlogue each scored a pair of goals as Mt. Blue rolled over Showhegan with a 9-1 victory in a girls’ soccer game.

The Cougars jumped out to a 3-0 lead and then piled on six more goals in the second half. Kaitlyn Therriault scored for the Indians on a penalty kick. In the junior varsity game, Mt. Blue beat Skowhegan, 7-0.

Buckfield 4, GPC 0

BUCKFIELD — Bri and Elizabeth Damon each scored a goal in the first half as Buckfield breezed past Greater Portland Christian 4-0 in a girls’ soccer game Tuesday.

The Bucks (2-2) punched in a pair of goals in the first and second half. Ashley Campbell and Dakota Warren supplied the second-half goals.

Buckfield dominated the game, outshooting GPC, 30-8. Goalie Gaby Therriault got the save in net for the Bucks.

Gray-New Gloucester 4, Wells 1

WELLS — Taylor Darnell led a group of four players to register goals Tuesday as Gray-New Gloucester hustled to a 4-1 victory over Wells in WMC girls’ soccer action.

Anna Knapp, Alex Moelleur and Sarah Giggey also tallied for the Patriots (2-1) to complete the scoring.

Sophie Lamb netted the lone goal for Wells. Sam Wilkins and Zoey Adams combined efforts in the cage for Gray-New Gloucester, making nine saves to notch the win. Kaitlyn Tufts turned aside seven shots in the cage for Wells.

Leavitt 1, Belfast 0

BELFAST — Emily Perkins converted a pass from Liliana Cousineau in the second frame Tuesday as Leavitt edged Belfast 1-0 in girls’ soccer action.

Cousineau started off on a breakaway on the left side and drew Belfast’s last defender. She then passed it on the ground in front of the net where Perkins was waiting to punch it in with 21 minutes left to play.

Angela Daigle stopped all four shots fired in her direction, while Breann Cummings deflected eight shots in the cage for Belfast.
