Bettyann Sheats (Democrat) is running for the Maine House of Representative in District 68. I can attest to her common sense approach and of her principled convictions — true, fair and balanced opinions coupled with an openness to grasp the opposition’s views.

Affordable health care must be made available to all, and ones’ reproductive choices are not for others to mandate.

Republican leaders have been allowed to write tax code that benefits the top 1 percent. What happened to fairness? The disparity between the rich and the poor is growing at an alarming rate. What has happened to the middle class?

Sheats is not apathetic. She is a fighter in the cause of justice. She is the rare individual who will stand up and say “No, that is not the right course of action.”

Bettyann Sheats is not jaded, not naive, just not contaminated by the system she will work tirelessly to change.
