LEWISTON — Lucien Paul Dube, 81, of Auburn, passed away, Friday, Sept. 14, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, with his family by his side.
He was born April 27, 1931, a son of the late Paul and Eugenie Boies Dube. He attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and St. Dominic High School.
On Feb. 19, 1955, he married the love of his life, Rolande Martel. Together they worked and raised their young family in the Lewiston-Auburn area. He worked for several years at F.R. Lepage, before retiring in 1992 due to ill health. He was a member of St. Louis parish for many years, where he served on the parish council and as a Eucharistic Minister. As a member of Sacred Heart Parish, he served the parish on the Renew Program and on The Golden Age Club. He was also a member of the Covenant 50 and Horizons 55 organizations. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, where he was a charter member and the first Grand Knight of The Andy Valley Council No. 8742. He was also a member of the 4th Degree Andy Valley Memorial Assembly No. 2173. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and puzzle making. Most of all, he loved his time spent with his growing family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rolande Martel Dube; three sons, Robert and his wife, Mary of Auburn, Richard and his wife, Ellen of Poland, Marc and his wife, Cindy of Lewiston; nine grandchildren, Robert and his wife, Sara, John, Catherine, Stephen and his fiancee, Crystal, Nicole and her spouse, Jay, Heather and her spouse, Zachery, Stephanie, Matthew and Joseph; and five great-grandchildren, Kristin, Sammy, Becca, Emily and Damion..
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by a son, Normand; and a brother, Bertrand.
The family would also like to thank the staff of the ICU at St. Mary’s, especially Lucien’s nurses, Celine and Katheryn, and the staff at Bolster Heights.
