LEWISTON — Robert L. Poliquin, 77, of Gina Street, died Saturday, Sept. 15, at his home, with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 13, 1935, a son of the late Laureat and Lucienne Bedard Poliquin. He was educated in local schools.
Bob married the love of his life, Anita Berube, on Sept. 1, 1956. He worked for over 30 years at Diamond Phoenix as a foreman. He was a member of Holy Cross Church. Bob was Mr. Fix It and was not happy unless he had a tool in his hand and a project to do. He loved to work around his house and in his flower gardens and took great pride in how they looked. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and following them to their sporting events.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Anita Poliquin of Lewiston; a daughter, Anne Marie Duncan and her husband, Jimmy of Greene; two sons, Marcel Poliquin and his wife, Joy of Belfair, Wash., and Ronald Poliquin of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Francois Poliquin of Lewiston; six grandchildren, Alex, Arianna, Natilee-Marie, Brittany, James, Dakota; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Lee.
He was predeceased by his two brothers Marcel and Normand Poliquin.
