Maine Education Association Retired Day of Caring, a public service project by the Franklin County Retired Educators, was held recently. Five representatives met at the Goodspeed Public Library to make a difference for families in Wilton. The group washed windows, cleaned the bathroom, tables and work spaces and they cleaned almost all the bookshelves. FCRE will donate $55 from the National Education Association – Retired for the Day of Caring Grant for books in the children’s room. Robin Bragg arranged the project. Others participating were Jean Mitchell, past president; Ann Yorks, incoming president; Doris Tripp and Arline Amos. This was the third MEA-R Day of Caring project undertaken by the FCRE.
