AUBURN – Nine comedians entertained a capacity crowd at the Auburn Fireside Inn last month in Comedy Fix, a stand-up comedy fundraiser benefiting The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing. With 100 percent of the net proceeds being donated, the event raised $1,200 for the center, which provides free support, education and wellness services to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.

Mark Turcotte, Joe Meuse, Hope Rogers, Cornelius Tyson, Chris Choate, Dee Turcotte, Smith Galtney, Lucas O’Neil and a special guest performance by Maine comedy legend Randy Judkins provided the laughs for over 200 in attendance. The show lasted just over two hours and included over $400 in door prizes.

“The response to this event was overwhelmingly positive,” said event organizer Mark Turcotte. “Comedy for a cause benefits all involved and I’m excited to begin work on future shows.”
