I write to express my full support for Angus King to become Maine’s United States senator in the Nov. 6 election.

King had an excellent record serving as governor of Maine between 1995 and 2003.

His support for education was impeccable and brought Maine’s students into the 21st Century with his laptop computer distribution program placing students on a level playing field.

If Peter Geiger says King is good for education and business, you know he will represent Maine well on those issues in Washington, D.C.

His record on balancing Maine’s budget, paying its bills, protecting the environment and maintaining the infrastructure, is a record of success.

With Washington, D.C., as broken as it is, it is high time for an independent to work with both Democrats and Republicans to get things done for the common good. Angus King has such a record and he will do that for us.
