LIVERMORE FALLS — Music will fill the air throughout the day on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the 2012 Apple Pumpkin Festival put on by the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce.

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Livermore Falls recreation fields. Admission is free.

Performing will be Nickels and Dimes, Barry Wood, Paul Bright, The Pinkhams and Greater Purpose.

Margaret Arsenault and James Littlefield of Jay, aka Nickels and Dimes, write, sing and play country music. Arsenault sings and plays 12-string guitar and keyboard. Also a vocalist, Littlefield plays six-string guitar and keyboard. The two played in the Arsenault Family Band until 1999, when they formed Nickels and Dimes. They have produced CDs and won numerous awards.

Wood, who sings pop, standard, country, folk and Christian music, has performed throughout New England over the past 60 years. He has also performed with Les Paul at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York and in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Ontario. He has won numerous awards from the Down East, Maine Country Music and North American Country Music associations. Self-taught, he is considered to be an excellent finger-style rhythm guitarist. Now retired, he performs regularly at the Wayne Community Church and other local events.

Formed in 2005, The Pinkhams is made up of Travis Pinkham, Randall T. Pinkham Sr. and Pete Sanipas. Through the years, Randall and Travis, who are father and son, have won numerous awards. Their first duet was a song Randall wrote called “Daddy.” They have since traveled the state playing charity events,  dance halls and private events.

An inspirational band, Greater Purpose performs a mix of heartfelt original music based on the members’ lives and songs from the past. They are meant to minister to others, both believers and nonbelievers. Making up the band are Cathi Burke, Craig Hutchinson, Louise McCleery and Alan Hutchinson.
