Residents in Maine Senate District 15 have an opportunity to send a person with a long history of public service to Augusta. From his days as a city councilor, to being one of the youngest mayors of Auburn, to representing his area in the state Senate, as well as serving as a trustee of the Auburn Public Library and a member of Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce, John Cleveland is devoted to making this a better place to live and work.

He knows the value of education and was instrumental in bringing L/A College at USM to the area. He will fight to restore funding for education.

And as a former mayor, he understands that allowing the governor to push the funding for necessary general assistance onto local taxpayers, as we saw in the last legislative session, is not the way to balance a budget. It’s time for a change.
