Recently, a lot of letters to the editor seem to be coming from those with much to lose if President Barack Obama is not re-elected. Some are so laughable that I have to wonder if the writers have read any news at all in the past five years.

Since George Bush ran up a $4 trillion deficit and caused the worldwide economic mess, I’m guessing that George Bush will probably be blamed if the Mayan Prophecy comes to pass in December.

Are they even aware that Obama tripled the Bush deficit in less than one term?

How sad it is that so many truly disabled people who contributed when they were able have to scrape by, and many single people and childless couples work two minimum-wage jobs but qualify for nothing, simply because they work. Let’s face it, they are the true poor among us and it’s wrong that a growing culture producing nothing but babies and Democratic votes lives off their efforts.

The party is almost over. We’re at a crossroad and a tipping point, where the producers will soon be outnumbered by the takers. Illegal immigration run amok, “disability” payments to addicts and slackers and a dead economy.

Rather than demanding an end to it, will America remain focused on class envy and greed and social issues ginned up by the mainstream media to support the present administration?

Or will the silent majority speak again, as they did in 1980, and say enough is enough?
