EDDINGTON (AP) — Maine state police have identified two people killed in a fatal crash in Eddington.

Troopers on Friday identified the driver as 37-year-old Michael Sullivan of Eddington and his passenger as 52-year-old Susan Derrico of Eddington. Police say the car was registered in her name.

Investigators say the sport utility vehicle went off the side of Route 46, striking large tree on Thursday. Both occupants were killed instantly. Troopers say Derrico was wearing a seatbelt but Sullivan was not.
