Congratulations to Tim Lajoie for showing true leadership defending property rights of all Lewiston residents (Sun Journal, Sept. 10). His statement, “This should apply to everybody, even those I may not agree with.” It is in stark contrast to the attitude of insider Democrats.
Have the Democrats been in complete control of Lewiston for so long that they truly do not see the double standard?
The article clearly points out that the complaints against Lajoie’s signs were “politically motivated.” There are more than 50 signs throughout Lewiston for Democrat Congressman Mike Michaud but less than 10 for Republican Tim Lajoie, and they complain.
In a textbook definition of a double standard, the supporters of Peggy Rotundo act like bullies when they ignore the rules for Michaud but complain to the city about Lajoie.
It is called equal protection for all under the law, not just party members.
Enough is enough on that double standard.
