Why vote for Democrat Paul Gilbert?

The current Republican majority in the Maine Legislature seems to be following the national Republican agenda of branding people who need help as freeloaders who don’t want to work. They believe that public sector workers and teachers should be able to opt out of joining a union. They want to repeal the federal Affordable Care Act and reduce financial and environmental regulations on banks and corporations. They blame only teachers for poor student performance when disengaged parents should also be held accountable.

We need a representative like Gilbert, who has always focused on what legislation best serves honest, hard-working Mainers.

Paul Gilbert is a thoroughly honest man who has consistently advocated for the disabled, the poor, the elderly and the rights of workers to organize.
