Yard sale on Sept. 29
WATERFORD — An indoor yard sale will be held on Plummer Hill, next to the church, Saturday, Sept. 29, from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be a good selection of books, children and adult games, dishes at low prices, utensils, pots and pans. Proceeds to benefit the maintenance fund of both buildings.
Senior Citizens meet Oct. 10
BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the West Bethel Grange Hall for their meeting and dinner.
Dinner is $10. Reservations must be made before Oct. 3 by calling Caroline at 824-3226 or Arlene at 824-2877.
African trips to be discussed
BRYANT POND — Guest speakers at the Whitman Memorial Library on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. will be Robert and Cynthia Kirchherr of South Paris who will be showing pictures and talking about their trip to South Africa. Also sharing pictures and talking about her trip to Namibia will be Elaine Newell of West Paris.
Newell spent two weeks in Namibia visiting her daughter who was in the Peace Corps at that time. These will be two very different and interesting stories about time in Africa. The program is open to the public at no charge and light refreshments will be served.
