AUBURN — Maslah Hassan netted a pair of goals Tuesday to propel Edward Little to a 5-1 win over Skowhegan in boys’ soccer action.
Zach Tannenbaum, Calvin Willette and Llewellyn Jensen also tallied for the powerhouse Eddies to complete the scoring.Camden Despres scored the lone goal for Skowhegan.
Jensen and Michael Cote combined to make four saves for EL, while Sam Wheeler deflected 13 shots between the posts for Skowhegan.
Mt. Ararat 4, Mt. Blue 1
TOPSHAM — Mark Crawford scored a pair of goals as Mt. Ararat walked off with a 4-1 victory over Mt. Blue (2-6) in a boys’ soccer game Tuesday.
The Eagles took a 3-0 lead in the first half. Will Hirnak scored on an Isaac Bradshw assist and Robbie Small topped off Mt. Ararat’s lead with his unassisted goal in the second half.
Mt. Blue’s Gage Kennedy’s unassited goal spoiled Mt. Ararat’s shutout in fourth quarter.
Mt. Ararat outshot Mt. Blue, 21-5, and forced Cougar goalie Zach Jackson to make 14 saves.
St. Dom’s 5, Monmouth 0
MONMOUTH — Tyler Furtado pumped in three goals to earn a hat trick and direct undefeated St. Dom’s (10-0) to a 5-0 victory over Monmouth Academy in a boys’ soccer game Tuesday.
The Saints took a 5-0 lead thanks to another two goals by Jordan Charest and Zack Johnson in the first half and coasted the rest of the game. Johnson, Calvin Stewart and Nick Hatfield collected assists along the way.
St. Dom’s goalie Ben Sawyer had a light afternoon in net, making three saves to preserve the shutout.
Lincoln Academy 2, Leavitt 1
LINCOLN — Cole Eugely found the net just 10 minutes into the contest Tuesday to give Lincoln Academy a 2-1 victory over Leavitt in boys’ soccer action.
Kyle O’Brien gave Lincoln (6-2-1) a 1-0 advantage in the opening few minutes with an assist from Sawyer Pinkham. The Hornets (2-7) answered in the second frame when Klayton Kesares tallied. But Leavitt just couldn’t find the equalizer. With just over two minutes left to play, Lincoln keeper Wally Morris made an incredible save to preserve the win.
Morris finished with five saves, while Ben Fullerton deflected 12 shots for Leavitt.
Dirigo 6, Telstar 0
BETHEL — Chad Snowman and Sawyer Smith each netted two goals as Dirigo easily overpowered Telstar 6-0 in a lopsided MVC boys’ soccer matchup Tuesday.
TJ Frost and Hunter Ross also tallied for the Cougars (6-3) to complete the scoring.
Mike Chow needed only four saves to record the shutout. Dylan Helms turned aside 16 shots between for the struggling Rebels (1-8).
