I support John Cleveland for state Senate representing Auburn, Durham, New Gloucester and Poland.
I worked with him on a committee that developed plans for New Auburn and I was impressed with his knowledge and dedication to the city.
In the 2006 state senate race for the same district, his current opponent publicly accused Ed Desgrosseillier’s campaign of stealing road signs. This charge was made at the last moment, too late for rebuttal. As chairman of that campaign, such actions would not have been tolerated. I am sure that no signs were stolen by people in our group.
Already in this campaign, I have observed an irregularity. A billboard-size political sign in support of her candidacy was displayed, in spite of the fact that such signs are not allowed by local ordinances.
John Cleveland depends on quality ideas and not on campaign trickery.
