FARMINGTON — The RSU 9 Administrator Evaluation Committee is hoping to have a candidate for superintendent in early 2013.

Committee Chairman Robert Pullo told directors Tuesday that members of the board’s subcommittee met with Dale Douglass, a representative of Maine School Management Association.

The association is going to help the school board find a new superintendent prior to July 1, 2013, to replace Mike Cormier, who is retiring in June. Cormier has served the district for 20 years.

Pullo said the committee is putting together an advertisement that is expected to be ready by the end of October.

“We’re looking at interviewing candidates probably in late January or early February in 2013,” he said. The committee is expected to make a recommendation to the full board after that, Pullo said.

The committee will meet with the school board Tuesday, Oct. 9, he said.
