AUBURN — Rita Parisi of Waterfall Productions will share gothic Victorian tales by candlelight at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Auburn Public Library.
The theatrical storytelling presentation will feature stories about curses, death and immortality by 19th century New England writer Sarah Orne Jewett.
A native of South Berwick, Jewett’s stories mirror the everyday lives of New Englanders, often reflecting the mysterious and supernatural.
Parisi has been entertaining New England audiences for more than 17 years. In 2002, she founded Waterfall Productions to create shows that highlight her passion for theater as well as history, literature and costuming.
Parisi is also actively involved in the independent film scene in Boston. Some of her films have debuted at the Boston International Film and Cannes Film festivals.
