Craft fair seeks vendors
DIXFIELD — The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will be having their indoor craft fair the first Saturday of every month starting on Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Doors will open at 7 for set-up. One table is $10; two are $15. There will be a light lunch available. Call to reserve tables at 562-8030 or 364-2827.

MEXICO — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1953 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Mexico Chicken Coop.

Monica Wood at Mexico Library
MEXICO — On Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., the Mexico Public Library will host author Monica Wood for a book talk and signing of her most recent book, “When We Were the Kennedys: A Memoir from Mexico, Maine.”
Wood is a native of Mexico and is the author of several books. This most recent book is the touching and poignant story of Monica’s growing-up years with her family. It’s also about the Mexico-Rumford area in the 1960s, and the role the paper mill has played in local families’ lives over the years.
There will be a limited number of copies of the book available for purchase that evening. Those who already have a copy are invited to bring it along for Wood to sign.
