LEEDS — The Leeds Community Church will host an Evening Variety Show, headlined by the a cappella women’s chorus Maine-ly Harmony, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.
The chorus, which has performed more than 20 years, is well known throughout central Maine for its award-winning barbershop harmony. In April at a competition in Montreal, the group received the Rising Star Award and qualified for international competition this fall at Disney World.
Nine chorus members will be in Leeds to present a varied musical program in the barbershop style of four-part harmony.
Rounding out the evening will be a variety of performances by community and church members.
Refreshments will be served at intermission. Free-will donations will be taken at the door, with all donations benefiting the church’s maintenance fund. The church is at 123 Church Hill Road. For more information, call 524-7151.
