POULTNEY, Vt. – The University of Maine at Farmington women’s soccer team defeated Green Mountain College by a score of 6-0 in North Atlantic Conference play Sunday afternoon at Eagle Game Field.
The Beavers had a strong opening first half scoring five goals. Scoring first for the Beavers was Rachel Clement capitalizing off a free kick from Lauren Perkins in the 23rd minute. Two minutes later the Beavers struck again as Ava Amador scored off a pass from teammate Keli McLellan in the 25th minute.

With time winding down in the opening half, UMF’s Kayla Tuttle converted a pass, heading it past Lord in the 44th minute. Then just four seconds later Dupre recorded her second goal as she capitalized off a pass from teammate Noelle Moulton allowing the Beavers to carry a 5-0 lead into halftime.

Green Mountain 1, UMF 0
POULTNEY, Vt. – Matt Kukola’s first half marker proved the difference in Green Mountain’s 1-0 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win over University of Maine at Farmington on Sunday afternoon.
The first half witnessed a flurry of offensive chances for both sides as the teams combined for 23 shots in all. Only one of those shots found the back of the net as Kukola put Green Mountain (3-7 overall, 2-3 NAC) ahead 1-0 in the 43rd minute.
UMF was attempting to clear the ball after the Eagles’ previous attack. Kukola stepped in front of the clearing pass through the middle, pushed the ball between two defenders and beat the keeper to the ball. The sophomore then flicked the ball past the outstretched right foot of Beaver keeper Paul Dupre.
