LEWISTON — Bernard A. Mathewson Sr., 87, formerly of Hinsdale, N.H., died Oct. 7, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
A decorated World War II Navy veteran, he married Claire Gabrielsen on July 9, 1949.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Sue Roebuck and Janice Rosewarne; sons, John and Bernard Jr., and their spouses; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
