A demonstration of the art of henna tattoo by Mary Schmaling Kearns and a musical performance by Arborea have been added to the lineup for the Dempsey Challenge Community Celebration. Kearns creates designs, like the one above, for people dealing with cancer. The celebration in downtown Lewiston on Friday, Oct. 12, will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Here is the lineup: Youth Orchestra of Lewiston Auburn, 6:15 p.m.; Broken 51, 6:45 p.m.; Arborea, 7:45 p.m. (Atrium at Bates Mill). Pan Fried Steel, 6:15 p.m.; The Band Apollo, 7:15 p.m.; The Temple Rocks, 7:45 p.m. (Callahan Hall at Lewiston Public Library). Spoken Word by Edward Little High School debate team, 5 p.m.; Kristen Short,  6:15 p.m.; Bryan Laurier, 7 p.m.; Carolyn Currie, 7:45 p.m. (DownStage at L/A Arts). Barbara Oliver and Mark Nordberg, 5 p.m. (Community Gallery at L/A Arts). Felix Weatherbee, 5 p.m. (BatesDowntown at 22 Park St.). Kearns’ live demonstration, 6:45 p.m. (Lamey Wellehan Gallery, 110 Lisbon St.).
