LEWISTON — Memorial services to commemorate the anniversaries of the terrorist truck bombing of the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks on Oct. 23, 1983, in Beirut, Lebanon, and the terrorist boat bombing of the U.S.S. Cole on Oct. 12, 2000, at the refueling docks in Yemen will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Lewiston Veterans Park.

The program will include invocation by Rev. Douglas Taylor, the history of the U.S. Marine Corps by VFW Post 9150 Commander Robert MacDonald, reading of proclamation by Jerry Der Boghosian and patriotic songs.

The public and members of all area veterans’ organizations are invited to attend. The service will be held rain or shine.
