1924 – 2012

LEWISTON — Charlotte J. (Goulet) Lessard, 88, passed away after a short illness, at d’Youville Pavilion on Oct. 13.

She was born July 30, 1924, in Lewiston, one of 16 children, to Ernest and Sylvia (Turcotte) Goulet.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her for making them laugh and smile every day.

She is survived by two sons, George P. Lessard and wife, Diane, of Lisbon Falls, Paul R. Lessard and wife, Susan, of Auburn; one daughter, Charlene Arruda of Massachusetts; two brothers, George Goulet of Lewiston and Paul Goulet of Sabattus, a stepbrother, Dick Goulet of Lewiston; four sisters, Rachelle Hendersen and Suzanne Platten of California, Vivian Roy of Lewiston and Pauline Gelinas Dubois of Minot; and many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She also leaves a beloved friend and sister-in-law, Fernand Carey of Florida.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul N. Lessard; daughter, Sandra L. Veilleux; son, Richard E. Lessard; and son-in-law, Manuel Arruda; as well as one sister, Madelaine; eight brothers, Robert, Richard “Cookie,” Marcel “Mike,” Raymond, Camille, Albert “Buzz,” Romeo and Roger Goulet.
