RUMFORD — The annual “Homemade For The Holidays” church fair at the Rumford United Methodist Church is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, at 455 Linnell St.

The “Ladies” have been busy since last winter preparing items for the fair. The finished craft tables are full of handcrafted items for gift-giving and winter survival pleasure. There is a large assortment of gift baskets, all packaged in cellophane and tied with a bow. Available again this year will be corn bags, in several sizes; just pop in the microwave for two minutes for instant heat wherever it is needed. These bags come in washable outer covers.

The “Kitchen Helpers” area will feature all sorts of hand-crafted items such as crochet topped dishtowels, dish cloths, potholders made with heat resistant material, an assortment of holiday aprons, just right for a Thanksgiving or Christmas hostess gift. Balsam bags are back this year in several sizes. For pets there will be catnip pouches, “Pup Cakes” and peanut butter pine cone treats for feathered friends.
