Pumpkin decorating
JAY — On Sunday, Oct. 21, the VFW 3335 Ladies Auxiliary will host a “decorate your pumpkin night” from 6 to 8 p.m. for children ages 4 to 12. All pumpkins and decorating material will be supplied. There is no charge.

Arts and crafts group to meet
FARMINGTON — The second fall meeting of the Franklin County Arts and Crafts Association will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the University of Maine at Farmington North Dining Hall.
A time for registering for the Dec. 1 Christmas crafts fair will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a business meeting at 7.
The annual show will be held at the UMF Student Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. New members are welcome.
Mask making workshop
FARMINGTON — Everyone’s Resource Depot will hold Halloween mask making workshops on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 25 and 26, from 3 to 5 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon, and on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29 and 30, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Many creative ideas for masks, costumes and party decorations made from ERD’s assortment of reusable materials will be shared with workshop participants. Materials in good supply for mask making are sparkly felt, yarn, colorful foam pieces and buttons, paper of all kinds, leather scraps, feathers, ribbon and fabric.
A $1 fee to cover for materials and instruction will be charged to children. Adults and UMF students who accompany children will be able to make their masks for free.
ERD is in the Education Center, Room 9, at the corner of High and Lincoln streets on the UMF campus. ERD is open to the public Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Franklin Memorial food sale Oct. 26
FARMINGTON — Franklin Memorial Auxiliary will hold a food sale on Friday, Oct. 26, from 8:30 a.m. until sold out. The sale will be in the FMH Bass Room.
