The public is invited to vote through Oct. 28.
LEWISTON — Alexis Servidio, a Lewiston resident, has received notification that she has been named a finalist in the Rite Aid/Seventeen Magazine Glam Camp Model Search. After making it through the semi-final round of this competition, where she stood out from more than 3,700 entries from teenage girls across the country, Alexis is one of the 10 young ladies to make the final phase of the competition.
The Grand Prize winner will become the face of the 2013 Rite Aid Glam Camp campaign and will represent the following major beauty product companies: Maybelline, Clean & Clear, Rimmel, Sally Hansen, Got2B and Cover Girl. The winner will be announced at the end of October and will be featured in a two-page spread in Seventeen Magazine.
“I am amazed to have made it as a Finalist in this competition. I never expected to make it this far and am humbled by the support that I have received,” Servidio said. “I cannot express my gratitude to those that took the time out of their busy lives to vote for me on a daily basis.”
Servidio is a freshman at Plymouth State University, where she is majoring in social work. She is a competition cheerleader for Plymouth State and volunteers weekly at Whole Village, which is a resource center for children and families in Plymouth, N.H.
“Beauty is only skin deep,” Servidio said. “There needs to be more to a person than their exterior. Giving back is important to me; I want to show others that being beautiful on the inside is what really matters.” She dreams to one day to be a licensed social worker, working closely with less fortunate children.
