LEWISTON — Marco’s Restaurant will host an evening of improvisational comedy, courtesy of Mainely Improv, on Friday, Oct. 19.
“We make up comic situations based entirely on suggestions from the audience. Every show is unpredictable and has a life of its own,” said Dan Marois, owner and producer of Mainely Improv and Mystery for Hire, the troupe that has performed mystery dinner theater at Marco’s for many years.
“Our challenge is to take an audience suggestion, no matter how bizarre it may be, and portray a scene — immediately. It is great fun for the audience while the actors are basically ‘flying without a net,'” Marois said.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets for the improv show, suggested for adult audiences, are $12 per person, which includes the comedy show, cabaret seating and a cash bar. For reservations, call 783-0336. For more information, go to www.mysteryforhire.com.
