SABATTUS — Doris Crowell, 83, of Sabattus, passed peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 18, with her loved ones by her side.

She was born Doris Wade in Norridgewock, Jan 19, 1929, to parents Ernest and Georgia (Tibbetts) Wade.

She married Edward S. Crowell of Winslow.

Doris is survived by eight children, Cheryl and Brian Harper, Colleen and Pat Lebel, Clover and Scott Hanson, Wade and Nancy Keith, Shirley and Richard Pinard, Michael Crowell, Marie and David Hinkley, and Jeannie and Bert Deschaine; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Edward; and a daughter, Cynthia Dufour.
