Cougars gave up the first points of the game only twice this regular season. They combined for 100 points in those two games.

Red Storm might be the best-of-the-rest in Westerm A, but they don’t have an easy first-round assignment with Alex Shain and Sanford coming to town.

Expect a flood of unfamiliar names in the scoring column against Mt. Ararat. Dragons have little to gain on this side of impending rematch with Cony.

8. Messalonskee (6-2)

We all knew Bangor had one big, spoiler game left in them, didn’t we?

9. Marshwood (7-1)

First-year coach Alex Rotsko paid numerous visits to Massachusetts Super Bowl. It’s starting to look like Hawks are fit to take him to Super Saturday at Fitzy.

MPA doesn’t keep such individual single-season records, but Rams QB Ben Lucas (2,129 yards, 29 TDs) has to be in the neighborhood of two.
