I am a second generation union paperworker. I have been a union member for 22 years. I have always been proud to belong to a union, but the last couple of years it seems that union workers have been portrayed as the scourge of the state and the cause of its financial woes.

I thought it was the American dream to work in a safe environment, be treated fairly and earn a decent wage with benefits. Unions want those things for all workers.

The working American is under attack, but why? We fuel the economy.

Working people are not the problem. We are the solution.
