RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Joseph Stoklas was celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Robert Vaillancourt was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. The Old and New Testaments were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty. Prayer of the faithful was offered by Barbara Doherty. Offertory gifts were presented by Elizabeth Coulombe and Louis Stoklas. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Amazing Grace,” “How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place,” “Ave Maria,” and “Fly Like a Bird.” Pallbearers were Thomas Stoklas, Dean Nadeau, Raymond Francoeur, Dane Curato, R. Daniel Gauvin, and Julie Allison. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
