What is happening to the post office in Livermore? I would like to see it stay open for eight hours a day (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), with the window closed for a one-hour lunch break.

Mail should still be dropped off at that post office instead of sending it to Livermore Falls. The truck goes right by the Livermore post office. The rural carriers for Livermore should be brought back.

Sending Livermore customers to Livermore Falls when they want to stop mail or change address, etc., is not right. How many extra miles is that for customers? How much is the post office saving opposed to the way it is now?

Perhaps this upgrades the bigger offices, therefore, pay them more.

Is it fair to box customers to have the rural carriers deliver to customers, making the delivery much later?

Like everything else, postal officials put the blame on someone or something else. They say the Internet, but is it really?

Perhaps, if they push customer service, give better service and promote what they have to offer, that would be the answer.

I hope officials won’t close the Livermore post office, or go to four hours. It is an important office for the town.
