Mass announced for All Saints Day

BETHEL — A Mass in honor of All Saints Day will be celebrated at Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church at 4 p.m.  Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Planned giving to be explained

BETHEL —The Mahoosuc Land Trust will hold a planned giving program at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at the trust office, 18 Mayville Road.

Sarah Robinson and Joe Pratt of Bar Harbor Trust Services will present the basics of planned giving for individuals and families. There are a variety of ways beyond yearly giving to support favorite nonprofit organizations and the work they do. The session is open to all members of the public.

Church begins soup, chowder suppers

PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will begin a series of Soup, Stew and Chowder suppers on Saturday, Nov. 3. Featured will be homemade soups, stews, chowders, breads, salads, beverages and desserts.

The suppers will be held on the first Saturday of each month, weather permitting. Cost will be $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under, with 10 percent of the profit going to the Food Pantry.

Hospital to offer infant CPR class

NORWAY — The Family Birthplace at Stephens Memorial Hospital will offer an infant CPR class from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Harper Conference Center, Ripley Medical Office Building, 193 Main St. It is a hands-on experience with manikins.

Fee is $10 a person. Preregistration with payment is required. To register for the class or for more information, contact the Family Birthplace at 743-1562, ext. 6951.

Tuesday, Nov. 6: Making Mosaics with Scott Currie, 5:30 to 8 p.m.; cost, $55.

Wednesday, Nov. 7: Jewelry Beading with Beth Andrews, 6 to 8:30 p.m.; cost, $50.

Wednesday, Nov. 7: Is Stress Running Your Life with Chris and Paula Easton, 6 t9 8 p.m.; cost, $20.

Tuesday, Nov. 13: Maine Driving Dynamics with Ed Naples, 6 to 8:30 p.m.; cost, $10, age 65 and older; $40, under age 65.

ALA sponsoring annual bulb sale

GREENWOOD — Jackson Silver Unit 68, American Legion Auxiliary, is holding its annual Christmas bulb sale. The bulbs are $3 each this year and may be purchased in memory or honor of a loved one.

The Christmas tree lighting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Legion Hall. Order bulbs by contacting Anita Hakala at 875-2375 or 890-2699.
