Sportsman club to hold session

DIXFIELD — Webb River Sportsman Club will meet Monday, Nov. 5. The supper will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 at the Spotrsman’s Clubhouse, Canton Point Road.

Absentee election cut-off is Nov. 1

PERU — Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6. In 2011, a new law established a cut-off date for accepting absentee ballot requests. Requests for absentee ballots for no cause must be received by the town clerk by the close of business on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Residents may register to vote at the town office until election day and at the polling place on election day.

Voter registration applications must be submitted to the registrar in person. To register to vote, a resident must provide proper identification and proof of residency.
