As a mother of two grade-school boys, I want a legislator who puts the needs of Maine students and their families as a top priority. That is why I support Garrett Mason.

When the Legislature faced a huge budget shortfall, many thought education funding would be on the chopping block. Yet, Mason fought for and succeeded in increasing aid to schools by $65 million.

Unfortunately, some are trying to scare voters with misleading ads saying he cut school funding, and that he sees students as profit machines. What malarkey.

I work for the Legislature and I know first-hand of Mason’s dedication in providing top-notch educational opportunities for the children.

I am a mother, I am a taxpayer, and I am a part of Maine’s middle class. I am proud to have Garrett Mason as my state senator.
