I would like to take this opportunity, before the presidential election, to point out that there are other candidates on the ballot besides the big two. Many voters may think that voting for someone who is neither a Republican nor a Democrat is simply a wasted vote but, in reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

Votes cast for the third name on the ballot, should there be a significant number of them, would send a message to the big two that the American people are tired of the way things are going in Washington and want it to stop.

Besides that, the third presidential candidate on the ballot, Gary Johnson, Libertarian, shares many of the same beliefs that many Mainers do, so he is a good choice, just for that reason.
