AUBURN —  Florence H. Jordan, 82, of Canton, died Monday, Oct. 29 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1929, at Walker Hill, Jay, a daughter of Raymond and Helen (Adams) Wyman. She attended local schools and on June 21, 1947 married Harold Jordan.

They made their home in Canton where she lovingly worked as homemaker to her husband and seven children.

Later in life she worked outside the home at Livermore Shoe and in the kitchen at the Victorian Villa in Canton.

Florence enjoyed knitting, volunteering at the food pantry in Canton, vegetable gardening, being in the outdoors, socializing with friends by going out to lunch and playing cards, and time spent with her family; especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Larry Jordan and his wife, Jane of Hartford, Brian Jordan of Canton, Bruce Jordan of Lewiston, David Jordan and his wife, Tanya of Canton, and Deborah Gammon and her husband, Kim of Minot; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Aaron and Heather White, Lori, Benjamin, Melanie and Riley Jordan, Justin and Marissa Gammon; a brother, Elbridge “Skip” Wyman and his wife, Pauline of Farmington. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold
in 1995; two children, Marion White in 1989 and Kenneth Jordan in 1993; siblings, Francis, Laurence, Clarence, Richard “Buster” Wyman and Eunice Bean.
