Eighteen boys from Scout Troop 111 of Auburn spent a week at Camp Roosevelt near Bangor this summer. Guided by five adult leaders and the camp staff, the scouts earned 36 merit badges in a variety of subjects such as wilderness survival, environmental science and rifle shooting. Activities included swimming, canoeing and sailing. Troop 111, chartered by the United Methodist Church of Auburn, meets there on Friday evenings.
